Photo references are ok for some things, but to relie on them for the majority of a composition you no longer relie on imagination there for only showing your technical skill, and not your skill or talent for CREATING which is what real artists, the MASTERS do...create with feeling

Your Dumbledore with baby Fawkes is exquisite. The detail really makes this piece: the hair of his beard, the sprouting feathers on Fawkes, and the embroidery of the sleeve. I can't tell you how exceptional I think this is. It is truly worthy of a commission; I wish I could be the one to pay it, but alas! The budget won't stretch to original art.

what happened to the other, older pictures you had? I loved the one of the angel and the mermaid, it inspired me to do an offshoot I will send you a copy of if you want. I also really liked the on of the spirit in chaines. Are they somewhere where they can still be viewed?
