Maghrabi, my antagonistic enchantress character, who certainly doesn't give a damn about poor defenseless fur-bearing creatures. Especially green burrowing ones. I can see a lot of things wrong with this picture--the very wonky window and candelabras, for one (er, three), but it's something of a favorite among my peers, so up it goes.

Wow, I just love all of your drawings! They are full of character, and i espessially like this character that you have drawn. She almost reminds of Cruela DeVille or someone like that...who wears fur coats and has that look on their face...however I like this lady (what's her name...I forgot!) alot better though. Geez, what is your coloring technique? It's so...perfect! has anyone told you that you like like your characters? Well, I've heard that what you draw looks sort of like you; that you reflect yourself in your art.
Anyways, you are a real kick butt artist!
Congrats, Sarah

:-) Hope L Kodman replies: "Wow, thanks very much! For this picture (and most of the other colored ones) I used a combination of Prismacolor markers, colored pencils, and a white gel pen. And yeah, in theory, Mags shares some of my physical traits, albeit in a good deal more stylized manner--glad it came through in this one 2 . Thanks again!"

This picture has a definite Aubrey Beardsley quality to it, especially in the face with the heavy lidded eyes. I like the window in the background too, and the coat is so luxurious!

:-) Hope L Kodman replies: "Thanks very much! I *love* Aubrey Beardsley--I can only hope to achieve his macabre stylishness once in awhile 2."

This looks so comfy!

Heh, I like it! Nothing wrong with the candelabras and window -- so they're a bit off or twisted. Seems to fit the character from your description, and add to the charm of the picture. *grin*

Mmm, evil Art Nouveau...yum!

:-) Hope L Kodman replies: "Heh, thanks. She *is* rather twisted..."

She looks glamorous and cute, yet dilgihtfully devilish and evil. I love the look on her face. Green fur, pretty! Don't tell me, she killed a bunch of meeps to get the fur. I like the background, look fine to me. Nice luxurious fur coat.

:-) Hope L Kodman replies: "You hit the nail right on the head! It IS a meep-skin coat. Back in my days of regular Sierra forum activity, Maghrabi was always terrorizing the meeps--they made really good steaks, too."

Reminds me of the Grinch. Very evil!
