I'm waiting for my AP results; good luck to both of us! Hope L Kodman replies: "Thanks! It ended up as a slide, although, looking back, the medium probably would have added some diversity to my quality section. Ah, well."

Anywho, I love the flowers in her hair, and I especially love her mouth. Her eyes look a bit flat, but that's ok. I also like that she's outlined in red, it augments the green nicely. And gives the picture more depth. Excellent work, kemosabe! Hope L Kodman replies: "Well, she started out as a rusalka, and then sort of did a crazy morph into Persephone...guess the green just came with the territory, or something. Thanks!"
| 13 Jul 2004 | Lynvallen | Loading...i've always thought Persephone of being much more angry? upset? emotional, about being in the underworld, away from the earth, than in this picture. but it's still a very good picture and i likes alot. Hope L Kodman replies: "Thank you . I suppose, given her character, she would be upset...but I figure after a few millenia of corresponding between Earth and Hades, she's probably gotten used to it. She's a subject of facination for me. I've drawn many pictures of her but only one I think is actually up. It's an interesting interpretation and good blend of medium. Great Job ^^!! Hope L Kodman replies: "Well, like I said, it didn't *start out* as Persephone, she just sort of snuck in there. But the rendition of her on your gallery is lovely!" | |

She is the goddess of Spring and daughter of Demeter the goddess of harvest and agriculture. She's pretty. I like the lips. it looks like she is otulined either in lava or blood. Hope L Kodman replies: "I was hoping for that exact effect, with the red outline--sort of a "flower in the depths of hell" feel. ^_^"
