	King Hrothgar the Daneking had constructed a mighty meadhall called Heorot. But in the late years of his reign a great terror tormented the hall and its inhabitants. Grendel a terrible hellfiend haunted his halls at night killing his best Thanes and loyal followers. Nothing could seem to be done about this monster preying on Hrothgars court and the night drew upon Daneland...

30 May 2003	Waterlyn	Loading... Yeah, it is cool, man! Nice mood on a pic! Seems kinda dark and scary but the house is so welcomely warm and light. Like that kinda pics! oh, and nice creatures! =)
3 Jun 2003	Thorkell the Thin	Loading... Not very welcoming for long! I love the creeping form of the Marsh Fiend, the Night Walker Grendel. This is an excellent picture - the spots of light contrast very nicely with the darkness of the night.
29 Jul 2003	Carcie A. Posey	Loading... I absolutely love your Beowulf series, and I can't wait for the rest. You've given a lot of detail to the pieces. Kudos for being able to do that with acrylics. They can be a little tricky when it comes to the amount of detail you've put in. I'm glad you kept with the story so well: the wooden house and the cobblestone path leading up to it to name a few. Maybe you could even do a series of pieces from _Grendel_ by John Gardner. That was a great book. ::muses::
30 Sep 2003	Keisha	Loading... Yes hi I just Love your series of Beowulf. My favorite part of the story is when Beowulf defeats Grendel and is mother. The most saddest part of the story is whe he past on.

2 Jan 2004	Jan weber wiggoww@yah...>	Loading... we are looking for the exact places of the events of beowulf. Heorot would be in the park of the castle of KRAPPERUP in SKÅNE ,and the famous STONE SHIP called KING ALES STONES in KÅSEBERGA in SKÅNE (s.eSkåne,east of town _Ystad)points at the site of Heorot and also gives the distance by the old navigation system , used for a long time . The Grendel cave would have been in a moor near Sösdala,central SKÅNE,with quite odd sacrifices of Hunnic eqipment of gold and silver,and the cave of Grendels mother we are still looking for. Magnus Pharao Hansen replies: "I have edited your comment. This is not the correct place to advertise for sponsors for "scientific" projects. Also I believe you are looking in the wrong places for all of these things. The seat of the danekings of old as attested in "skjoldunge saga" were in Lejre on Zealand in Denmark. And interestingly in Lejre has been found remnants of a huge hall dated to the early ironage. If this is not Heorot I don't know what is."

I never thought Heorot could look adorable, but this one does....while still having a forboding quality to it. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I think your style is wonderful. It would be great to have your art in an illustrated version of Beowulf.
