I got inspiraton for this picture when I was skiing in the Swedish mountains, it was so beautiful! But there was a lot more snow then in the picture though... :) I just couldn't resist putting Arathos's twin brother Aydon there (the one in the background), together with a friend (Yes, they do have a centaur friend to, not only elves... :)) Any suggestion for a name to this chestnut centaur would be welcome :) Soft pastel drawing, 60x80 cm. And yes, the colors are a bit ruined... Blame the camera >:( Mrrr..... 07-25-02 I have at last got some decent photos of this one, with better colour and detail... :)

I would love to see this one 'in situ' and explore your technique! A photograph never tells it all. Although I can see that this is a very well done painting and the colours (those are difficult to keep in balance) are carefully set. Besides your technique, I like the way you have put these extraordinary creatures into an ordinary place and situation. This way they look so real they might really exist in the Swedish mountains. I would like to see more out of this idea.

:-) Maja Andersson replies: "Who has said they don't exist in the Swedish mountains? Where's the proof that they don't? 12 Hihi, I have a whole bunch of sketches of these two centaurs, but I have no idea where they are... perhaps I should dig them up and give them another chance? We'll see.... 2 Thankyou very much!"

*mouth drops* You're too good at this. Honestly, it's just unnatural. People like you make me sick...hogging all the talent. Okay I'm kidding, but you're awesome.

Gah! I want to comment on every single one of your pics! I'm not usually such a prolific commenter, but your work is all so beautiful! You've created a world, here...

Nice! I love it! If you don't mind, I'd like to use it as a cover for my novel, I won't take it or use it if you say no, but If you say ok, It'll likley be published so you can see your art on a book.
I await your answer. ^^

Excellent centaur anatomy. I look for that as I am a serious Centaur afficionado. Very good pastel work. It’s just wonderful all around. Did you ever find a name for him? I have a character that looks a LITTLE like him called Urseus. (he’s more classic Greek)
Again, excellent work. 1
