I've had this picture in my head for years, and now I finally got to actually putting it on paper.
The tengwar reads: I Ceniril Altarielwa - The Mirror of Galadriel. Actually, in Quenya Galadriel's name should be Altįriel (the accent means that the vowel is long), but of course I didn't notice the mistake until the picture was finished. *hits herself* Then, on the other hand, I think I read somewhere that the stem of Altįriel is actually written with a short vowel, i.e. when you add the possessive ending the vowel is shortened. In which case the text in the picture would be correct after all.

But enough of the linguistic rambling... This was a birthday present for my mother. She's also a fan of Tolkien.

Oh... I've had problems visualizing some of the environments in this book, seeing the movie made it somewhat easier, though it robbed one of imagination.
But this, how you visualized galadriel and her mirror, is _far_ better than in the movie or how i've had done it. (ps. I'm _not_ obsessed with the movie hehehe)

I just love the detail and shading in this. Did you draw each blade of grass individually? It looks awesome! The braids are nice too, and the border. It looks like it was very time consuming, but worth it. I only have one kinda negative critique, and it's about the left arm. I don't know, it just seems a bit off, maybe like it's shorter than the other one. Like I really have room to talk though, my people always look like stiffs. So I'll leave with "It's beautiful!" and keep it at that. -K

Wow that is so awesome. But the Lady bears a rather scary resemblance to my Aunt Julie...Wow~!

I saw many Galadriels on Elfwood, but this is a really 'tolkienesque' Lady. The picture as a whole is amazing.

okay, I'll readily agree with other comments, beautiful pic! but... aren't her legs a little bit too short? not much, just so much it shows off a bit odd.

This is beautiful. I rarely see such a good depiction of this scene. The attention payed to the (elven, right?) impresses me. It seems facinateing...I should investigate...

The detail in this image is simply amazing. You have quite a alent with pencils and with shading.

another tarot card picture, xD. It’s like the card Temperance, or the Star from the LOTR tarot deck that I have.

Wow! Excellent shading and pencilwork! Must have taken a lot of work, but the outcome is fantastic! It should have a mod’s choice!!
