| 25 Aug 2006 | Vilhelmina Ullemar Lönnbom | Loading...And I... fourth? Because it does seem you are getting better. ^^ That's great! Practicing from photo reference can be a really good way to learn, too. I have a huge amount of pictures drawn of myself as an elf, a vampire, a witch... Because with pictures of yourself, you always know no-one will mind of you play with them for a bit. For this picture, though, I think the background is a bit too white against the character. A light purple in the same hue as her clothes could have worked a little better, but that's just me. In any case, keep on drawing! I love seeing what you come up with. ^^ Maite A. le Loux replies: "Hmmmm, I think you're right about the background, but to be honest, I had spent quite a while on a picture that was supposed to be a doodle for me, and I didn't feel much like taking the trouble of making her a background And you're right, it's very nice drawing from a picture, rather than from the mind like I use to I tried drawing a profile from apicture and it went a lot better Thank you again for the comments! *hugs*" | |
| 28 Aug 2006 | Kim Schoonover (Darth Maul´s scary sister) | Loading...Yes, its much better than some of your older pics... *nods* Especially in the nose and chin. And you did a good job with the lips, nice shine... Maite A. le Loux replies: "Thank you! I didn't manage to pull off the shine the actual picture had, but I think this one looks alright too I was quite satisfied with the chin myself, it looks like a chin " | |
