I'm a 15-year-old girl from New York, and I've always been creative. In addition to scribing poetry and weaving tales, I love to draw and paint. I've been known to create tiny figures out of clay and miniature armor and chainmail from leather and metal scraps. I seem to have an innate sense of the appearance of things and am fairly good at rendering them realistically from imagination. In general, I live to create my own worlds, whether it be through words or images. I enjoy delving into the worlds of others through books like Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Eddings' The Belgariad, or even such works of old like those of Shakespeare or Beowulf. I also have a love for the past, and am obsessed with Celtic, Norse, ancient Egyptian, and Native American cultures/mythologies. Although I draw from nature sometimes, I usually draw various warriors or weapons...I have the perception that I'm drawn to chaos although I myself am not of it - I rather like to conquer it. I hope I can one day find a career in art, getting paid to do what I love. Through art, I hope to gain a better understanding of myself and the universe.
