James Allen Mangas replies: "Still undecided on whether I will actually get around to actually finishing it, as time is rather consumed with work and school. But I assure you if I do, then it will be posted asap. Thanx for the visit and comment. "
| 24 Jan 2003 | Luke Jason Bell | Loading...Dude, have you heard of an RPG called Legends of the Five Rings? It has recently come to the d20 system; and your drawing is reproduced with a few minor changes on the cover of the book entitled The Way of the Samurai. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?? James Allen Mangas replies: "I believe I put in the description that this piece was inspired BY that piece of art you mentioned. I am glad to hear that I seemed to have gotten the point I wanted. I like the basic design, but I envisioned a few changes to make it more to my liking. And thus that is what I made." | |

Actually, women samurai were not called "samurai ko". "Ko" is used for child (Akako = child of red. Otoko no ko = male child). You do better calling her a "onna samurai" (woman samurai) or a "onna-bugeisha".
