"Another Samurai-Ko, unfinished" by James Allen Mangas

	I forget why I began this one, and what happened that I never had to finish it. I might go back and finish it one day, but here it is so far. The basic pose WAS taken from the cover of the new Samurai guide for the D20 L5R, but with some obvious changes.

24 Jan 2003	Luke Jason Bell	Loading... Dude, have you heard of an RPG called Legends of the Five Rings? It has recently come to the d20 system; and your drawing is reproduced with a few minor changes on the cover of the book entitled The Way of the Samurai. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?? James Allen Mangas replies: "I believe I put in the description that this piece was inspired BY that piece of art you mentioned. I am glad to hear that I seemed to have gotten the point I wanted. I like the basic design, but I envisioned a few changes to make it more to my liking. And thus that is what I made."

31 Jan 2006	Tokiko	Loading... I like your picture, even though you say it's unfinished. Actually, women samurai were not called "samurai ko". "Ko" is used for child (Akako = child of red. Otoko no ko = male child). You do better calling her a "onna samurai" (woman samurai) or a "onna-bugeisha".
