Tag As FavoriteComment		As the sun sets, the harpy mother sees to her eggs on the hill.. The background was done long before the harpy, but I tried hard to make it look like she's always been a part of the picture. Done in Photoshop with wacom tablet. This is however an alternate version of the original image that can be found at my homepage. The original is without the harpy.

This is a great piece of art. The first harpy I have seen on Elfwood yet, (though I am new, so maybe theres more?)The sunset is incredible in thumbnail view let alone unleashed in full scope, great job.

Yeah, aside from the fact the background is extraordinary, the overall feeling of the picture, the colors and the position, give it such a good feeling, seeing a sunrise and the harpy return to the nest. The harpy's legs are good, very birdlike, but the wings need some work. Really great.

The sunset is beautiful, and the harpy SCARES me. I feel like she's so evil, and protective... and great job working her into the scene, I wouldn't've been able to tell the difference if you hadn't pointed it out... I think you did an awesome job with the light the sunset throws on the rest of the scene.
