An Arthurian-themed doodle, which I thought was rather charming, despite some obvious flaws. I am discovering that watercolor pencils can achieve some astounding effects…

I dont really like her face. But the coloring is nice and so is the way you made the lake. Overall, nice.

:-) John P Manning replies: "Fair enough. You can't please everyone all of the time. Thanks for the input. 2"

Don't like her face? *stares* Well, it is a little lacking in the detail department, but somehow it seems to just go with the rest of the picture. It's very lovely, the effects from your watercolor pencils are quite impressive I think. I like the way the reflection is blurred on the girl and the arm from the water. Tell me, is that supposed to be something like the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur? its the impression I'm leaving with. ^_^

12 John P Manning replies: "Yup, it's just a little variation on the old Excalibur/Lady of the Lake theme, although I have no reason for drawing it other than it seemed to be an amusing picture. As always, your comments are appreciated!"

1 John P Manning replies: "Once again, tastes vary as to what's good and what's not. I'm certainly glad when people like my stuff, but people are free to dislike it, too. Thanks for commenting!"

I actually really like this picture, good use of colour and all that. Nice pose, too. Really effective. I like the folds in the fabric. (I discovered this page about a minute ago, but anyway...)
