"Idiots, they're all idiots," sneared Mira as she watched the mindless slaughter.  She knew all the years she spent saving those left behind by the elves ment nothing to them and her own life now was to come to an end by the same race she protected.
Alba glanced down at the sword at his side remembering all the sacrifices those that were left behind made.  Hatred for his own kinds sudden sainthood, and self righteous anger, brewing within him.
"I would rather die a slave then live amongst foolish saviors."  He unsheathed his blade.  "By your leave my lady." 
"Ever at your side Alba," whispered Mira as she reached behind for her blade.
"For our Martyrs, may their lives not have been in vein,"  he reached behind him to Mira.  He would fight alongside the true saint even against his own race.

After the return of the Elves much chaos ensued.  Having seen all the wrongs done to their race they went a bit fanatic and began a slaughtering  of humans despite the fact humans had freed them years earlier.  

Leave it to the Elves to arrive a few hundred years too late and make everyone else pay for their mistakes.  A majority of the Elves joined with the new arrivals for repayment of years of slavery, while others, like Alba realized the fight would be pointless and the Elves would become no better then those who oppressed them.  That and he always had a hate for the Elves, for he remembered that the reason he was ever a slave was because his own kind left his ailing and pregnant mother behind since she would only slow them down on their journey to other lands.  Had they only waited a little longer none of this would have happened.
