I was very depressed when I did this picture but instead of cutting myself, like the guy on the picture, I got rid of all (well at least a lot) negative feelings by drawing. Ink pen on paper and then scanned and fixed in Photoshop. There are more drawings like this since life has its ups and downs :-P Updated:14th Sept, 2002

Say... the expression reminds me of Frank... you know, the rabbit from 'Donnie Darko'...

Very... *grins* not-nice. Excellent job.

I love it's strangeness, it's some sort of symbolism, it's in a way simplicity although detailed. This is a great piece of art, please upload more like this to the gallery, it would be much appreciated, not only by me but from all of us, I'm sure!

Reading the other comments made me laugh. I love Donnie Darko! ^^
This is another excellent piece that I think could work very well sculpturally.

Also, given the information that you were depressed enough to consider cutting yourself, I must say I'm happier with this outcome rather than what could have been something you regret, not to mention messy ^^ Nice job.

You got the words wrong. The Japanese suicide ritual is called "Hari Kari" (emphasis on last syllables). Next time, I recommend using a spell check of some sort or an online dictionary.

the symbolism of this creation is outstanding--very peculiar and certainly a creative expansion of experimentalism---john nowak is right about the japanese ritual spelling but the gist is right---the other comments made me laugh then i re-read the passage for the pic---im sorry to hear that you considered cutting your self, im also glad that you found a creative way to extinguish the depression that you must’ve been feeling at that moment---just dont go cutting off your ear, ok? 2
