Oil on paper. Took a veeeery long time. Too bad I have to show it this small size. Makes it hard to see the details. There will be more oil-work later on. I think this is the first time Iīve tried to paint water. I donīt think the result was so bad.

Hmm. I like this pic. For some reason it makes me think of Atlatnis. Probably because Poseidon was Atlantis's main god... Do you know about Atlantis? Could you do a pic of it? Something like the ruins of a city under the water...

Actually I have made a picture of atlantis, at least sort of, but I need to get my hands on a scanner. Hopefully I will put it up within a month or two.

Very nice. Although, I think that Poseidon could have been bigger or up higher. He IS the god of the ocean so I think it would make more sense for him to be visually more "powerful".

You did the water with oil paints? All I can say is Oh My God, I am so jealous!

Right on! and yes ness-a-nator.That is correct mythology.those women in the water could be sirens or mermaids but I can't see the bottom half of them.

You know, this is a really late comment, but I just loooooooooooooooove mythology soooooooooo incredibly much that I have to say something about it anytime I see it...
Well, anyway, I love this picture. It depicts the god so well. And its just so perfect...I wish I could draw that well!
Only two things...Poseidon didn't have a fish tail, but his son, Triton, did. It doesn't matter, though. The second thing is that Triton would be on the conch, but that doesn't matter, either. And I love to two females...I have a strong feeling that they are mermaids or Nereids or Oceanids. *stares at the picture, wondering*

Nice pic! I like those mermaids, and the reflections in the water from that sunset... *SO JEALOUS!*
