Marcus 'KAMO' Olausson

Marcus (known as KAMO) is a 28 years old fantasy artist, who invites all of you to the the realm of his dreams, nightmares and visions.
 
 
 
I´m an electrical engineer from Sweden and I was born in 1976. The world of fantasy is where I escape 24 hours a day and I guess it all began with Tolkien and 'The Lord of the Rings', then I continued reading fantasy litterature and also created my own worlds. I used to work with coloured pencils but now I mostly paint with oil on canvas. KAMO is my artist name (Stands for: Karl Anders Marcus Olausson).



What projects am I working on right now?:

  • I have finished the first book in my trilogy (it ended up being about 450 pages, plus maps and appendices). Now I just have to send it to some publishers and cross my fingers :-/
  • Since the story has it's own life I have already started writing on the second book.
  • 24th July 2004: Finally I got a photograph of my Wolf Dream painting so I could upload it. I also uploaded a new painting called Dragons Breath.
  • I've got an idea for another painting that hopefully will turn out pretty cool. Stay tuned...

    I commented on one of your paintings but overall I was thoroughly awed by your artistry. You have a true style that is all your own and from the paintings you have, I really hope to one day read the book you've written!

    The only thing I love more than art would have to be books. You'll have to tell us all the name of your trilogy when it's published (for it will surly be published if it's just half as good as your artwork!)

    sorry if im becoming a nuisence by now but i am a great fan--heard you were writing a book--sounds great--i too am a writer and love to hear of people i like sharing similer intrests to my own--it is too bad that you live in sweden beacuse the only thing that i enjoy as much as art would have to be books--im sure it’ll turn out great because with your creative personality you wont be short of idea’s!
