When drawing this sketch I wanted it to be Sirius Black cursing Wormtail for betraying Lily and James. But the further I got into drawing it, the more it looked like a version of Voldemort. So I'll let other people be the judge of who he really is. His attire is made from a dragon. From the Harry Potter Books

My god I love this outfit you made! The detail and the contour are perfect. So is the character, of course, but the dragonskin really stands out.

Everything looks like Sirius except the face. You should put some in color

:-) Mardi Byrd replies: "I totally agree with you about his face. I havent't done many sketches that showed emotions - so anger was very difficult for me. I had thought of coloring it, so maybe some day. It would be cool if the dragon suit had some sort of pattern to it or something."

Actually it looks more like a 70's english rocker taking a stab at playing conductor for an orchestra. But hey, what's the difference?

It's definitly Voldemort - I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love Sirius Black, and I didn't really fall in love with this picture ... more like I felt a twinge of hatred. Anyways ... keep up the good work! Love Ella xxx

1 Mardi Byrd replies: "Very good way to decide! Thank you very much!"

the face is very detailed and well drawn. and I like the action in the picture. It's a bid sad, that there is no background but I can't blame you for that, I have my difficulties with them, too and often are too lazy to draw them.... but it would actually bring more atmosphere in your picture. nice work!

:-) Mardi Byrd replies: "Thank you Lucy. You are so right about the background. I'm not very good at them, but that is only because I haven’t' taken the time to really learn how to do them. I hadn't thought of doing a background for this guy, but what you say makes a lot of sense. It would tell a better story if there was something behind him. I’ll definitely give it some thought! It's so sad really...no matter who it is - he isn't happy."
