I feel kind of out of it but I really liked your story. However what is Gates? It sounds like Lands is a sequel. Any way I would just like to know where I can find more.

:-) Margaret A. Fisher replies: "Lands `is' a sequel. It's the second in what I hope will eventually be a trilogy of books in an on-going, over-arching series. Gates of Avaelon was the first, actually completed book lol"

I just read your yahoo groups messege. Although, being lazy, I decided to just to come here, and comment what I've said.
My opinion is to keep Jeremy for the third book. That way, there could be more intrigue involved, and maybe he could be a major character in wrapping everything together?
I'm quite glad that you say you'll start updating again. Oh how I missed thine words ^_^

:-) Margaret A. Fisher replies: "Yeah..that's what I was leaning towards too. (keeping Jeremy for Heart instead of trying to squeeze him and his sub-plot into Lands) I already have too many characters and subplota to fit into Lands as it is ^^;; I'm hoping things don't get too messy. ^^; but it'll at least help me flesh out Heart a little more if Jeremy `returns' there (since in Gates we barely saw him..and then as just a baby). Working on the next section of my werewolf book right now...then I've slated Circle's next section..then comes Lands..but I'll probably submit all three new sections into one ticket. Also..I've found a good print on demand publishing company that I'm tempted to use to publish Gates, so I'm looking into that and figuring out costs..whatnot. ^^"

Well..you guys *would* have had a new section of wolfsong to read today..but apparently Elfwood doesn't encourage its readers to learn about new cultures and investigate language on their own...because the ticket was rejected...all because I had my German and Russian characters respectively speak a few elementary school-level examples of their languages..and I'm talking 2 German phrases one only 2 words and the other 3 words, the russian word for `yes'...which..since almost everyone knows `ja' is the german word for yes...it's not too much of a stretch of the imagination to figure out that `Da' probably is also a word for yes (in this case russian) the original hope was that readers of the story would be curious enough about the foreign words to go to any number of translators on the web to find out what language the phrases were from so they could go "aha! such and such mysterious character must be German and/or Russian" But...as I said...elfwood mods apparently don't encourage learning...and severely underestimate the intelligence of their patrons >>;; so sorry you guys have to wait probably another 2 weeks to get a new section (with translations of the easy words in the description! *rolls eyes* since..as I just found out..even after getting the ticket rejected and thus out of the queue...I'm still blocked from submitting the `corrected' version of the section. *goes back to fuming*

grrrr....
thats really sucky.
Sometimes they really do have a flawed way of doing things.
nobody can be perfect though I spose -_-

:-) Margaret A. Fisher replies: "Well...section 4 of wolfsong has finally been up for about a week or a little longer..and it still doesn't have any comments ;.; *feels unloved* lol"

WheN Are you gonna update? It's the best story there is...
You should seriously think about publishing it...
1 May 2006:-) Melissa Randall
Oh my dear, it has been so long!

I miss your stories, and our small little active community that died off immensly.

Awaiting an update faithfully,
Melissa

:-) Margaret A. Fisher replies: "Well...blame the university and my professors for the lack of updates ^^;; 3 Anthropology classes and a philosophy/religion class...plus getting ready for 2 study abroad trips within this next year= no time for fun writing >>; I'm going to Mexico from May 19th-June 30th...but hopefully I'll have time to write before and after...so look for updates (finally) relatively soon ^^"

GREAT!!!!! So another update is getting ready!!! oh, I can't wait!

You know everyone told it to you and I tell you too: try to publish your book, I would buy it with great desire!

:-) Margaret A. Fisher replies: "I feel like such a bum >>;;; I keep looking at the date on these comments and get annoyed with myself for not writing. a big part of it was school...then I was supposed to go to Mexico...I `did' go...but didn't adjust well and ended up coming home ^^;; I've been working alot on the background to my wolfsong story ((working title only...which happens to be a misnomer..it deals with alot more shapeshifters than just wolves))...but I haven't forgotten Lands...once I get the necessary background down for Wolfsong I intend to work on the next section of Lands too ^__^ As for publishing Gates...I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I'll have to eventually go the self-publishing route (since I know nothing about writing query letters, synopsis' and printing out chapter samples and mailing them off to numerous publishers is an expensive and time-consuming process) and hope enough people buy it for it to be successful. The cheapest self-publishing packet I've found is around $200-$300...a really good packet that includes marketing material, ect runs around $500- upwards of $800 O.O;;; neither of which I currently have ^^;;;;; So we'll see what happens...I'll still have chapters 19 and 20 of Gates I need to finish editing anyway before the book will *finally* be in it's final form."
