SciFi and Fantasy Art FERN ELF by Marie. E. Bird

This was supposed to be a series of pretty boy characters with a mirror or frame decor in the background, this time though I painted a pretty scenic backdrop(I don't do landscapes often) inside the frame and two NZ native bird species atop the frame(the smaller being the Fantail and the other being one of NZ parrots(A Kaka)) handpainted in photoshop with my mouse.. the parrot alone took me all morn at close quarters(my eyes, the feathers, ohhhh), but the result turned out very well I thought! Now if I could get better results with the human form... *bangs head on wall* I used a model but he still looks a little awkward! -_-

Those birds are really cute, and i can understand why they took you so long to colour. Oh yeh, just noticed, the mountains in the background are cool!
