I DO NOT UPDATE ELFWOOD ANYMORE. You can find updated work at http://marienoire.deviantart.com
Hello! My name is Marie (sometimes called Rose, sometimes called Hey You). I am an art grad with a fervent love for Gargoyles, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and tons of other fantasy-based fandoms. (Sometimes I branch out into action comics like X-Men and Batman as well... but that's neither here nor there... it's somewhere in Chicago.)
My work is a bit of a cross between classic Disney, a little anime, and a little Stan Lee and Boris Vallejo thrown in for flavor. (Bam!) I like lots of color and divide my techniques between digital (using Photoshop 7) and traditional (using Primsacolor pencils and my woefully small Tria market collection). On occassion, I do use plain old ink and charcoal, though not often.
Some things to know...
PRINTS - If you are really interested, e-mail me or IM me and we'll discuss options. I spend neary eight hours a day online, so it's pretty easy to reach me.
ART-TRADES - Sure thing! Let's swap talents, people!
COMISSIONS - Same as prints, if you are really interested e-mail or IM me and we'll see what we can work out. I am a professional, so don;t yank my chain if you're just fooling around.
FREEBIES - If you are a non-profit organization in search of a logo or some such thing, feel free to e-mail or IM me as well. I am a very good volunteer, just ask the ASPCA. :)

| 29 Jan 2003 | Sandra Leigh Wagner | Loading...You have a very animator's technique to your pencils. I can just barely see your underlines. THat is so cool, cause it enables you to redraw the same face/character and actually have it recognized! You have amazing talent. You make it look so simple but i know better! Well, maybe its easy for you, but I have to be in the right mood to draw. Sometimes it takes months. Keep up the fantasic work. And keep practicing that computer coloring. Soon it will do justice to your wonderful sketches! (though your shading is better and more confident when you use the colored pencils!) | |

| 1 Jul 2003 | Chelsea Nahanni Georgina Hébert | Loading...I don't know how to explain it, but you know how some pictures have this element of wisp to them? Like the hair? How there's this certain grace to a figure in a picture where if you were to give them a moment to move, they'd spin or glide or float or dance in a heart thumping magnificent manner? Well, your pictures gave me that sort of a feeling. Please try animating, i think you'd be superb at it. | |
