They say the alkonost has a voice so sweet that it will make anyone  who hears it forget all they know... but her songs include those of sorrow, as well as joy.

A pixel piece, each pixel placed individually.  This started as an adaptation of an unfinished piece by Fool, and although I redrew the majority of it and painted over the rest, his work is definitely still in it ^_^.  See his original here, which was altered by me at his invitation, and which I have full permission to use and display.  Thank you to Fool!

I was always fascinated by these creatures, a half-human bird of paradise with a song so sweet it makes you forget everything in this world.

Though I always thought that 'Alkonost' songs were more joyful, while sorrow was more of the domain of the 'Sirin'.

Thank you, looking at this sweet little image made me all dreamy and put a smile on my face. :]
