SciFi and Fantasy Art Motherhood by Mariette S. Rose

This summer we had a mourning dove nest in one of our hanging plants on the porch. At some point I decided to make a sketch of her, figuring she would makea good subject. I was able to bring my hand 6 inches away from her without her flying away, she just watched. Just goes to show how strong maternal instinct is...

So you ask, 'This is a fantasy pic how?', well she's a Wilinian(my name for shifter) temporarily shifted into a Dove! ^_^; (anime sweat drop)

In Werewolf: The Apocalypse, yes they're called corax, but they can be whatever you want them to be, unless you're writing something actually based on W:tA. Loki transformed into a lot of things in norse mythology. But as for the picture, I don't think it needs to be something shapeshifting for it to be fantasy. What's not fantasy about just a sketch of a dove? (Which, mind, is quite good. Nice work.) Mariette S. Rose replies: "Well, learn a bit of something... "
