This is a graphite piece from some time ago. I thought it would be cool if he could have depth perception in each eye; thus, two pupils. I don't think I'd want to be this close, though.

Hmm.. depth perception by adding another pupil? At the moment I'm studying optics at a swedish university and I can tell you that the image hitting the retina will be very strange if you've got two pupils.. Your vision will be Blurry 1

Oh boy, this picture is worrying me. It's too real. I'm thinking maybe someone should ask the obvious question, "HOW DID THE ARTIST GET SO CLOSE TO A DRAGON? Huh? Did you think of this, people? Generally, this close to a dragon means you're being toasted, thinly sliced, smeared with Dijon (if the dragon is French) and nestled in a baguette. So, now I'm worrying, "what unholy bargain was made by Mr. Cole and this extremely large winged reptile?" Was it virgins, Mark? Oh boy, I hope not, there's so few left (their as rare as good artists these days). Oy, this is upsetting.

Listen, I'm going to go pay my respects to the Naughty Fairy - I'm sure she wrote to me every day while I was in Florida - I mean, Illyria - but what with the hurricanes and all....

From the thumbnail i thought it was a lil' gnome peaking through the woods;-) but this eye is so creativ, you really have to look twice to see what's where and specially that double pupil is so cool and confusing and haunting...!!! nice shading, too2!!!

i really liked it. it’s like it shows the dragon’s eye but it doen’t focus completely on the eye but i think thats one of the reasons i like it so much. its a great drawing
