Tag As FavoriteComment		She had known for a long time that he was gravely ill. She also knew he wouldn't want to burden anyone. Like an aging dog who knows its time has come, he slipped away without a word to find a place where he could go quietly. Hours of searching from the air finally brought her here. In fact, it was no surprise he should have come to this high, open meadow. They both loved this place. It was where they first met and where they had spent many happy times. Every winter, the tawny heath was blanketed with pure white snow, and every summer, lupines of many hues bloomed in joyous profusion. His big, weary frame was stretched out so peacefully on the grass that one would think he had simply laid down for an afternoon nap. She knew otherwise. The broad shoulders no longer rose and fell. No great breath stirred the grass near his humble face. He was gone. And none would mourn him more than she. Mechanical Pencil 11x14'

Talk about striking a cord, this is filled with emotion and loss. Wow the narration goes perfectly, at first glance I was going to continue, but it just caught me. Very good.
