SciFi and Fantasy Art Sariah, Half Drow by Mark Ivan Cole

Her mother was human. Her father was Drow. It was not a loving coupling. Despite deep misgivings, Sariah's mother carried her to term, blessing her with every spell she could find. When the girl was born, her Drow tendencies were obvious, but her mother persevered. In time, Sariah learned to control her darker side, to use it, to discipline its violent tendencies in the service of good.

Still, you would never, ever want to pick a fight with her. Never.

I like the fact that she's so confident that she'll wear red out in the open like that. This woman expects to be seen. I had fun designing the armor.

21 Nov 2004	Amanda	Loading... Well Mark, What I love about this drawing, and the others in your gallery is this: You have managed to do what many, and dare I say...most Male artists never accomplish. You have the ability to give your female characters stregnth without being overly muscular or so busty that we as the viewers wonder how she is holding up. Sometimes I wonder if men realize after awhile that wemon can be fragil yet strong? One of my biggest pet-peeves is to visit a guys gallery and every girl that he draws is either nude, or covered in armor from head do toe. Other artists should take a tip or two from you. Well done!

7 Feb 2005	Pepper Scarlette	Loading... I absolutely LOVE THIS! She looks exactly like the character of my soon-to-be-book, only older. Same expression, hair skin-tone. Adriane (character) wears a lot of red. She looks like she's wearing arm-gaurds for archery.
