SciFi and Fantasy Art The Rescue by Mark Ivan Cole

I don't remember what prompted me to draw this picture of a giant or ogre carrying a wounded archer from battle. All I know is that this fellow searched until he found his wounded friend and got him out of harm's way in hopes that he could heal somewhere safe. I felt this rich, loving sadness the whole time I drew him, and I still feel it a bit when I see this picture again. Maybe someday I'll write the story. Mechanical pencil; 5x7"
