| 24 Jul 2004 | Kyle Steeves | Loading...Wow, this looks awesome. I like her pose, and medusa in the backround looks good. What medium is this? Whatever it is it looks very good and the colors work well together. Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Thanks, Kyle! The medium ( as stated in the description ) is Photoshop on a rough pencil sketch. | 30 Dec 2004 | Niina Teräslahti | Loading...Oh my. I must have missed this one, since I haven't seen it before. I think. Well, I'm looking at it now, and liking what I see =). The mask looks wonderful! Metallic, golden, bronze, all at the same time. How did you manage to make it look sort of blank and full of expression at the same time, I can only wonder. Beautiful. I like those colours. This is a very nice, enigmatic, strangely compelling piece of art. You've done a wonderful job, as always, Mark. P.s. Angelique's pants are quite pretty. Me likes. ^^ Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Thank you, Nee! I was especially happy with the pants myself (favorite part of pic) I see there is room for improvement in oooh so many places, but I don't have the time to mess around with it atm. Did you get the invite for the Angelique project?" | |
| 12 Jan 2005 | Otso | Loading...Wow! This is pretty impressive. I said earlier that it was possible to see you werent entirely familiar with digital coloring/ps but cant say the same here. This is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me alittle bit are her breasts. Not the size, thats fine , but i think the lighting or something about them could be worked on to make them more natural or..something. They just dont look finished to me. Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Hey, Otso! Yeah, I know what you mean about the breasts. Like I told Nee above, I see place for plenty of improvement, but I haven't got the time to do anything with it atm. One day, I will fix it Thank's again, Otso." | |
| 3 Feb 2006 | Steph Salt | Loading...What do you mean not your best, the colour and light is wonderful Mark. Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Thank you, Steph. Well, it's more the small things that I missed, could have done more with, left out, added. Technical stuff... But I am glad you and others like it though. Guess it's just "an artisit is never happy with his/her own work" thing." | |
| 28 Mar 2006 | Avienha | Loading...I like your pictures, but one thing is really provoking me. Not all women have bodies which are anorectic and with breasts and hips the size of, I don't know, the moon! I know you can draw, so maybe you should draw the women without the silicon? Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Hey, Avienha After reading your comment, I took it up with my girlfriend. She does not agree with this at all. I do not draw anorectic women or women with breasts and hips the size of the moon. I know I draw women with big breasts at times, but I do not draw silicone boobies. Granted, this piece does make it seem like it, but it wasn't really "finished". I was still lacking in the digital realm when I did this piece and I was going to touch it up. As fate would have it, the image went down with my hard-disk when it crashed a while back. That means I would have to redo the entire picture from scratch. I am considering it, to be honest, because I am not happy with this piece. And for the record, not all big breasted women have silicone implants, and I for one prefer natural boobs." | |
| 4 Apr 2006 | Matthew W Gonzales | Loading...yeah, I'm still working on the whole digital thing... mostly photomanipulations with progressively more and more digital work on them until I feel comfortable enough to do a completely digital painting... I love this though, I'm not sure I could ever do that with photoshop. Painter maybe, but definitely not photoshop, lol. Awesome. Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Thanks, Matthew " | |
| 1 Jul 2006 | Jess Small | Loading...Hey, that's really cool! How do you know which colours to use for shadow and such on her skin? Is it just guess work or the reflection from the medusa? Anyway, it looks fantastic! Mark Andrew Goldfine replies: "Thank you, Jessica I use the background and lighting to determine the shade and "shade light" when I am doing a color piece. Instead of making a shadow completely dark, I mix in a tone of the background color to soften it up and ad more "life", if you know what I mean " | |
| 23 Jan 2007 | Andrew Cryer | Loading...Very very nice. I especially love the mask-great work. | |
