The idea for this came out after finishing the Jedi group and I thought to unite some of the greatest (and my most liked) magicians of books and comics. Well I know that there have to be more on this pic but I don't want it overcrowded.

From left to right:
Sauron (Lord of the Rings) in his appearence as the flaming eye, looking a bit snake like: Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter), you can't pass him: Gandalf the Grey (Lord of the Rings), directly followed by Saruman the White (Lord of the Rings) staring into is Palantir, not so well known but from one of my most liked comics of Ted Naifeh: Courtney Crumrin (Courtney Crumrin), and the boy who lived: Harry Potter himself (Harry Potter), next to him it's Rincewind (Discworld) the most fearsome and less powerfull wizzard and last but not least the greatest witch of the discworld: Esmeralda Weatherwax (Discworld)

Hello! First of all, I'd just like to say that Voldemort and Sauron glaring at one another just cracks me up.
Second, I'm trying to form a little database (that may eventually become a small but decent-ish web page) of Crumrin-related fanart and fanfic. There's not nearly enough of it out there. May I link this drawing, pretty please? (FYI, the 'homepage' listed above is a roleplay journal).
Thirdly, not only would Courtney sock Harry, but if he annoyed her enough she'd probably beat him over the head with his own broomstick. ;-D

1 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Thanks and sure, no problem to link the pic. There really is not much fan art of her out there - but when I first read the comics I loved them, she isn't the normal everybodys darling type of hero but that's the fact I love at her. Maybe, when I got time, there will be more of her - we'll see."

Thank you! I've linked the pic from my livejournal userinfo page. I'll keep watching for more fanart, and if/when I set up an actual webpage, I'll be sure to let you know. ^_^

Now this I like ^_^ It's a really cool idea to use Wizards from different "worlds" and you've chosen many of my favorites.

1 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Thanks, yeah there where some more, maybe in a second pic."

Great combination. It took me a while to figure out who's who, but when i did i found myself rolling on the ground of laughter.

1 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Thanks, glad you liked it - it's an older one but still one of my favourite one."

What about Merlin?

12 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Sure he is a great Wizard but I wanted only characters from books or comics in this one and since Merlin is a mythological or maybe historical figure..."

I say, what really would have been funny: Harry Potter and Ponder Stibbons, side-by-side. Very nice drawing by the way, I love the shading.

1 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Thanks. Hehe, nice thought...maybe."

You Like all the same books as me. And you've got all my favourite characters here. Sept Nanny Ogg but that's all right. They all look excellent. Just like I imagined Granny and Rincewind and all.

1 Markus 'ego' Heinen replies: "Thank you very much...yeah, thought about to put Nanny oog also in there, but I couldn't get here right and after a few trys I let her out. And good to see that you like all of them too (also Courtney who is not so well know as the others)"

An interesting choice for combinations. Good job. But Granny next to rincewind? Poor boy, he's going to get such a talking too....

Overall very nice work, I think the decision to put Meg Ryan between Iggy Pop and Chuck Norris was a bit presumptuous. Trillian is right though, nice shading.
