Hmmm, well, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrr, uummmm, well. and that concludes my speech. HAH!.

yea, proud of this one. I used a shade of brown as the main base colour, instead of my usual dark blue. A best comparison would be "The Overseer", where you can see the blue hue. I had just realised i needed to change something as someone suggested that all the colours, through out my latest pieces, were similar . Although it was a compliment on persons behalf, i felt i needed to change something in the process. Hopefully it was enough.

story, well i can say inspiriation came from the worrying signs of global warming, Specifically how it was affecting the Himilayan mountains which i saw in a recent news report. All the glaciers were melting and had left some 2000 miniature lakes way up in the mountains. The sad side of it is the local people are under great threat as these lakes pour over and create great flooding. It also insinuated that it was the people of the wests fault, being the greatest polluters, no doubt on that one!.

the giant looming creature is a sci-fi version of mother nature BTW .

I do worry about global warming, I think this past year is only a small sample of whats to come (20 powerfull hurricanes anyone?) I often wonder what the Earth will be like in 30 odd years time and wether i would want to bring children into it. Certainly by the time i am 50, some serious **** will be going down.

of course these are just thoughts, I am renowned for thinking too much ahaha.

Hope you enjoy my latest offering, people. and thanks to all who have given wonderfull comments for the last piece....and to the mod who modded it ^^.

The ship and clouds are amazing. The coloring of the moon is really cool, too.

Something to keep in mind for the future. Every element you put into a piece contributes to the overall look of a piece. They can help to enhance the piece or they can distract from it. Unfortunately, the stand of trees greatly distract from this piece. When the trees are blocked out, this is a gorgeous piece. But the trees, though a good concept, diminish the effectiveness of the overall look. This does not mean that you should not do trees. On the contrary, you should practice and developed a technique for rendering different types of trees. I may be able to help with that if you want someone to give you feedback on your practice pieces.

I had found at that time, my ability to render different objects into a scene was quite limited..My technique wasn't Dynamic enough and very time consuming..I am to this day still trying to figure a successful technique to go by..There was no reference for these save my memory of the awfull Pine Radiata we have up along the marine parade beachfront, back in my old home town..Cheers very much For the offer aswell, Tony, I shall keep that in mind...though i am not due to illustrate a tree for some time..1..Marley"

Wow. Interesting contrast. I have noticed a lot of your pictures have similar coloring. I love those colors by the way. But this is a nice change, and very well done.
