SciFi and Fantasy Art Angels by Monserrat "DarkForever" Gutierrez

I drew this sketch on fall 2007, when I visited my aunt Ines. She has some books about angels and paranormal facts. I love reading, so I began to look up her books. (Actually, I don’t believe in angels very much, but sure I’m open-mind).

One of them has a coverage I liked so much, and I decided to draw something like that: an angel’s couple kissing in Heaven, surrounded by other younger cherubs. Is there anything lovelier?

23 Feb 2009	Fredrik K T Andersson	Loading... Nice concept and composition. My only remark is that all the wings looks a bit crude and simple compared to the rest. The shape of the wings are good but I feel they lack the right details. For a sample of nice pair of wings look at your own Griffin pic in this gallery.

If you researched angels you would know a. they are sexless - b, being spiritual beings they have no need for human methods of sexual expression such as kissing, c. Cherubs (Cherubim) are not babies with wings, but are a whole other terrifying order of angels. Angels were never babies, they were created whole and perfect. Fantasy is one thing, but creating a whole new theology is something else. Angels are messengers of God and are not to be "played with." Monserrat "DarkForever" Gutierrez replies: "Well, actually it’s not my purpose to hurt someone’s beliefs. Anyway, I think those angels show Love all around, which it’s supposed they have to show & share."
