Monserrat "DarkForever" Gutierrez

Monserrat was considered like a nerd at school; she had no friends, so she began to draw for making her life easier. Right now, 15 years later, she finds in drawing a complement of herself.
 
 
 

I'm a weird girl, but I'm also sincere and imaginative. I love drawing but I only draw by pencil on any paper sheet and then scan them. My favorite themes are human beings involved in Fantasy or Gothic environments. Some people says I draw in a Japan-anime style, but I don't think so.

Interests
Drawing (of course); Playing chess (although I'm NOT a master, he he); Reading (some poetry, sci-fi & novels); Videogames (only Soul Calibur & Project Justice); Sleeping (I'm totally messy!); Surfing the Net (I log on MSN sometimes).
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV Shows
I don't like movies. TV shows? Well, I liked "The Simpsons", but I've got bored of them. However, I'm a great sports fan! FAVORITE SOCCER TEAMS: Barcelona, Bayern München, Vasco da Gama & Milan. FOOTBALL: Maybe Baltimore, Tennessee... uhm, I have no preferences. BASEBALL: Yankees & White Sox. BASKETBALL: Spurs & Jazz. HOCKEY: Bruins, RedWings & Flyers.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books
My favorite author is Edgar Allan Poe. Also I've read some Sherlock Holmes books. I've never read Tolkien, HarryPotter or something like that.
Favorite Music
Rammstein (that's the reason why I decided to learn German, he he); Classical (Beethoven's Moonlight sonata is superb)

Hey, how’s it going? I thought I would drop by to check out your gallery, as I haven’t in a while. And WHAT? You’ve never read Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter? They’re the two best series of all time! In fact, I read the Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon, Eldest, etc.) then read the Lord of the Rings and then read Inheritance Trilogy again and was severely disappointed. I still like Eragon and the others but nothing beats Tolkein and Harry Potter. Ok I’ll shut up now 1 But I had to say all of that 7

My younger sister has also seen this kind of movies, but me not; simply don’t catch my attention. *blush* *raise shoulders* I’m not a contemporary Fantasy literature fan. In the other hand, I like reading nineteenth century literature: Verne, Poe, Doyle, Wilde, even HG Wells, who inspired me to write "WARRIORS IN SPACE". Huh, ok. I’m not trying to force you into liking anything you’re not into but...I can’t imagine not reading Harry Potter especially but that’s just me. It’s cool you like nineteenth century literature. Not many people I’ve met have expressed the interest you do.
