Ok now...I'll explain everything: Since I saw LOTR:FOTR, I take a great pleasure in laughing at Legolas face. But it was not always like this! So this picture is NOT some tribute to the Legolas in the movies, heard me?

It all began with the books. Master Greenleaf was one of my favorite, along with Aragorn, because he was an elf and I tough that elves are cool. This pictures represent the moment in the book where they say that the elf is walking among Aragorn and Gimli but his spirit is far away in the woods (sorry I don't have the exact sentence in my pocket).

Then there is THE MOVIE. I was in the theater watching the movie and I remember thinking: 'hum, that character is cool, he has a bow and he's elvish. The actor is pretty good and good-looking too.' But I didn't bother putting more tough into Legolas for the moment, because I was so overwhelmed with the movie (I'm just in love with it) Then, when I got out the theater, I saw three giggling 12-years-old, and when I realise they were drooling over the elf, it was OVER! I just disgusted me to death. I couldn't believe that there was loads of people (girls) who just went to see the best movie of all time only to drool over some pretty boy with a blonde wig. But it's not his fault, poor Mr Bloom...Imagine how it might be to receive letter from mentals like fangirls >.< But I still despite him, sorry...

I'm aware thet this is very pale, I did this in 4H...

This is excellent pencil work and I like it. But I have to disagree with you on one or two things. First of all not all actors or actresses are good looking or pretty. And secodly don't you think it's pretty petty to dislike someone whom you don't even know as a person because of the people that like him? I'm sorry, I shouldn't even have asked such a question to a 16 year old. No offense but your mentality will change with age. 19)

2 Marie-Joëlle Bourque replies: "Well, 99% of actors and actresses nowadays (and even before) are pretty looking. It's just that they co-star with *prettier* people so they don't look goodbut if you meet those *ugly* actors in the street, you'll ralise that they are gorgeous. Second, I think you misunderstood me (I also think I'm not really clear on this point). I dislike his fangirls more than I dislike him. But you're right, I must be too childish. Thanks for commenting! ^_^"

Im with you on the Legolas thing! not that I don't like him, but all the girls seem to like the movie just cause of stuff like that!I once talked to a girl about LOTR and the first thing she mentions is how hot Orlando Bloom is! It really bugs me! They just don't get hte true feeling of Lord of the Rings! By the way, terific detail on the picture! (yay! I didn't say awsome!)

I love this pic, I'm thinking of coloring it in photo shop and seeing if I can do better then you did, if your interested in seeing the finished product, after I get around to coloring it, feel free to email me, I check my email several times a day^_^

I agree with you on that. While at times, I myself can become a silly, giggling fangirl, I despise myself for doing so. It is quite sad how so many girls go to see LoTR just for the actors. One of my best friends does just that and it bugs the crap out of me. Anyway, i really like this picture! Everything is all twisty and loopy! I like!

I absolutely agree with you. In fact, when RotK first came out, i went to the midnight showing, and the next day told some of those giggly fangirls that their dear Legolas was sqished by a mumakil. I was swooning over Frodo myself, but that's because Elijah's Frodo looked exactly like the Frodo I had imagined 4years before the movies, or Elijah, had come out. Love the pic.

Good pic- not sure if that's what I thought Legolas to be like (but maybe movie verse has influenced me first...d'oh!) but it's beautifully shaded and detailed. Hail to you not being another mental fangirl!

this is so nice! I love all the details. But it's really light on my screen, hard to see.. :-S

It is SAD!!!! UGG! *kills fan-girls* OK, so yes, Legolas is cute in the movies. In fact, he's GORGEOUS! I am obsessed with the guy!!! But I liked him because of his absolute coolness, and not just because he was cute! I loved him just as much (if not more) in the books (I was unfortunate enough to have seen the movies prior to reading the books XP). I don't even IMAGINE him looking like Orli, though! He's totally different in my head. All these girls who think they are so in love with Legolas but just faint when Orlando Bloom's name is mentioned must take a hike to the nearest lake, and jump in it. This picture rocks, by the way. Sorry about that long.. er, rant. I am famous for my Elf-related rants >.< Yeesh.. I love this picture, though! It shows Legolas's nature very well, I think. And I can't draw trees worth beans XP. Sorry about the mile long rant *blush*
