Whoa, sweet weapons, dude. Yeah, yeah . . weapons are good. ^^. I love 'bane of chaos' and 'bronus'.
Oh yea, congrats on artist of the day!

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Hehe thanks! Yea I'm kinda partial to meat cleaving weapons myself! "

Your weapon designs, especially the shortswords are quite nice. Working in Power Point does not sound like fun. You could go the Photoshop route, but I think you might have more success with Adobe Illustrator.

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Thanks for the nice comments! Yea, I'm not so sure why I'm partial to using Power Point to do my weapons. I mostly use Photoshop to color and texture with. Been many many moons since I've used Adobe! hehe"

I like your style but you need to add thee dimensional appeal and characters in matching armor, personally i like the axe but if its just sitting there its only good for chopping trees and not heads. Other wise great design!

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Yea three dimension would be great! I wish I had the time to learn how to use the software. Time....always the time thing."

Ineresting stuff, but migh i sugest shifting your medium from powerpoing into program with more options, like Photoshop, you will find a lot better coloring options and a lot more cool effects there than in power point.

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Thanks, yea I use Photoshop as well. A lot of people are surprised about what can be done in Power Point! hehe"

I know what you mean about forcing yourself to draw things- I have never been able to draw men, the faces alway become feminine, and the body follows! Still, I am trying, and one or two sketches have stayed male. This is very good, especially the weapons - I never have the patience to do good weapons, and as a consequence, don't draw them! Keep the work coming - and congratulations for artist of the day!

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Thanks for the nice comments. Weapons are much easier for me to draw then characters. I think it takes more skill to do characters well."

Hi Michael , can I assume that you are into Larp (live action roleplay??) when I look at your picture?? It's nice to see other creative people in both roleplay and art 2

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Hi Chantal. Good to hear from you again. Hehe no I've never been involved with LARP, but it sounds fun. Actually that picture was taken at the Texas Renaissance Festival. :^)"

Hi Michael! Congrats on being artist-of-the-day :> I love your characters, they have lots of life to them! Definately not cardboard cutouts :> Your weapons are *scary*! Very well constructed :> Cheers! Mez :>

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Thank you so much for the nice comments. I'm suprised people like them as much as they do. Its putting me in the mood to draw again! 2"

Congrats on artist of the day. I like that you are showing weapons. However, since they have a blue print feel to them I would like to see them in more views (angles), you know, front, back and side. As for your figures I think you have a good start. Try using references when you draw them. It's not as good as a figure drawing class in teaching anatomy, but it helps. Keep up the good work and don't be intimidated by Elfood. This is a great site to show your work, get advise and see some astonishing drawings.

:-) Michael A. Walker replies: "Thanks for the words of encouragment and wisdom. I'll have to keep that in mind about the different views. "

Me-Oh you're KIDDING!!!!!!!! You can draw weapons better than me!!!
Crystal-Can I have the axe?
Rose-You can use your fists so why bother? Besides, you won't use it anyway.
Crystal-But I want one.
Me-I want a talent like this guy's got. I am so friggin' jealous. I WANT YOUR TALENT OF WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judging from the picture you are either a fellow LARPer or at least go to Renn. fair, in any case nice to meet some one else who doesn't mind playing dress up,lol.
