SciFi and Fantasy Art Blue Phoenix by Haley Oatway

This was a part of a project for my Drawing in Perspective class. The assignment was 20 degrees of Separation, in other words, I had to choose between fish, cats, or birds and draw 20 different birds using 20 different mediums. This was my acrylic picture, my blue phoenix. It's my personal favorite of the 20 I did, though the top pick of my peers was the hot glue chickadee and my instructors top pick was the vanilla painting.

I had a lot of fun doing this one, so I hope you all enjoy!

Blurry as it swoops down... and is it just me or is the violet/reddish hue the blood of the victim? -.- Haley Oatway replies: "That might just be you.
