SciFi and Fantasy Art Elementals - Ice - 01 by Haley Oatway

For my photography class I'm working on a series of elements. My good friend Megan is Ice. Had the weather of been better she would have been water... but to make her swim when snow is tigh deep is a little cruel... so she's ice. The other elements will be posted at a later time as the shoots are completed. The others will be Fire (Albulena), Earth (Coral), and Air (myself). I've made/put all of the costumes together, we just need to find a place to have a bonfire for Albulena's shoot and find some time when Coral isn't working for hers. As for mine, I need to find a place to shoot it and have someone with me to take the pictures. So here's what i did to Megan for this picture: Make-up: -blue eyeshadow -silver eyeliner -silver lipstick (actually eyeliner) -silver eyeshadow as blush -silver glitter on cheekbones and brow Hair: -back-combed -glitter Clothing: -fun fur jacket (Made: cropped at the waist and dyed) -corset (Altered: lacy shirt cut in the front middle, hemmed, laced, and dyed) -skirt (Made and altered for purpose: cut on angle and dyed) -tights (the only thing I had to buy...) -jewelry (well... other things I had to buy) Photoshop: -eyes (Megan's natural eye color is dark brown/black, so I altered the eyes to look an icy blue thanks to photoshop!)

I really like the 'messy' (for lack of a better word) look to the hair and the looseness to the general outfit, as it really makes those eyes piercingly icy. Very very good job! It must've been real fun designing all that stuff, and that level of enjoyment shows through in effort. Way to go, and send my regards (if you haven't already) to Megan for me! 2 Apr 2007	Ice	Loading... Very icy indeed. Her makeup is really nice, and hair and outfit as well. Her gaze looks very frosty. She's beautiful. Haley Oatway replies: "Megan is a really pretty girl.
