My original cerimonial scythe design.  This prop was modeled in Maya 8.5, the textures were made in photoshop.  The jewels and crystals were done with glass shaders and then given the glow effect.  I have uploaded an animated video rotation onto youtube which can be found here.

 

I worked on this project for my 3D modeling II class and textured it for my Materials and textures II class.  It was definitely a fun one to work on and I hope to continue to work on it to make it good enough to add to my demo reel for my graduation in the spring.

 

For anyone who is wondering, the symbol in red on the skull is a power and protection symbol.

WOW - how come no one has commented on this, it is so original and COOL - i love the idea of the antler forming the main framework, and the skull is so freaky!! Good luck with your graduation!! ;D
