This is my dad's Christmas present. It's 36 x 41 inches and it took me a week to finish and I just finished the frame. This one was a bit of a hassle to get home... Though I quite like the ending result. Especially the sky and the mountains... and the boat way far off. Enjoy!

There is a lot to look at in this picture! It's very interesting and fun to look at, even if you don't totally understand what is going on. What did you use to paint this? I like the flying boats. They kind of remind me of the game Maplestory. Great job on the painting. I bet your dad was really happy with it.

23 Haley Oatway replies: "He was. I used acrylics for the whole thing. the sky and fog was dry brushed to give that effect. Thank you for commenting and I'm glad that you like it!"

It's lovely Haley!

You've improved so much over the past few years *applauds*

23 Haley Oatway replies: "Thank you so much! I haven't heard from you in what feels like ages!"

Sorry I didn't comment on this sooner. I really like the atmosphere you put into this, especially by adding all that mist everywhere... it looks real dreamy! I'm sure your dad must have loved it, keep up the good work!

23 Haley Oatway replies: "Not a problem. I'll have some more work up in here fairly soon, justin the publishing process. My dad did really like this one. The only space in our house large enough to hang it on was my parents bedroom wall. XD Thank you andI'll besureto keep it up!"

Pretty good. Is this watercolor? Because that’s what it looks like.

:-) Haley Oatway replies: "Acrylic actually. It’s funny, most people will guess anything except acrylics. Usually oils.

Thanks for commenting!"
