SciFi and Fantasy Art I shall always remember you... by Maya Jean

(June 2002) This drawing was done using a pen and then computer coloured.

I drew this thinking of a friend of mine, drew it for her...

This very particular person is a wonder in herself, a wondrous friend to have.

Since the very first day I met her, I knew I would never have another friend like her. She was always there for me, and especially when I needed it. She could always make me smile when my heart ached out of pain and torment. She needn't say a word, she just had to stand there beside me and cast upon me those loving, comforting eyes.

Everywhere she goes, she seems to carry a huge globe of eternal happiness around her. Whatever happened during the day, you just cannot stay mad, angry or sad by her side. Her sweetness and smile seem to wash everything away, always.

Although delicate and frail, she seems to stands like a huge oak tree, braving the winds, always standing after the storm.

We are far away from each other now, for we do not attend the same universities. Even tho the distance is so great, when I feel sad or nostalgic, I think of her, and things seem a bit brighter already.

She is really the best friend one could have. Her name is Tanya, and I want to dedicate this image to her, which I drew thinking of her golden heart and gentle spirit.
