I am not sure what the relationship is between the woman and the alien. Maybe she is a bodyguard for an intergalactic emissary. Maybe she is a military attache informing a diplomat of the impending invasion. Maybe they are old drinking buddies.

Goddammit! Now THAT is impressive. So much going on, but without overwhelming detail. That explosion in the background has the most beautiful colours. And the figures and face are just excellent. Why thank you! I have been trying to do much more detailed pics lately, I am glad it isn't too much. Can you have too much detail though, really??

I'm not sure if you can have too much detail /in itself/ but it's certainly possible to make something so fussy and busy that you lose all the feeling and it's impossible to look at what's going on. Which you definitely don't do!Well, speaking of fussy and busy, wait til you see my next pic . . .

Great all-around painting!I just love the way you do clothes. Unique and refreshing!! And the guy's face is so well done--did it take you long to do this painting and what medium is it in?

I surf Elfwood all the time and honestly this is the most impressive pic I've run across yet.

I realize that you can't judge a book by its cover, but I still wanny read the book this cover was made for. Somebody write it, please.

Heh, I'm always judging books by their covers. 2 And if this were the cover of a book, I'd buy it.
Very very nice, I love it! Very...Star Wars-esque.
28 Apr 200445 Meh
You should do covers for novels

I'm almost afraid to make this comment...I don't want to offend or open a can of worms...but I have to say that the face of the man reminds me a bit of Adolph Hitler...minus the moustache of course...and is that a swastika carved into his forehead? It would not be inappropriate...as many people who believe in UFO phenomena worry that images of past horrors (human wars, etc...) would be seen by alien visitors and they may only see the worst of human nature/history/culture...just wondering if any of that was in your mind when you did this pic...especially with the explosion over his shoulder...I'm probably way off base but wanted to share those thoughts with you. *smiles*

meh is right this does look like a cover novel thing. I love the detail. That green alien reminds me of that aqua guy from the movie Hell Boy. nice work ^_^
