This picture went very fast, only a few hours. Here's a lesson for all of you on how to paint ice: drink a pot or two of coffee, load up your brush with white and payne's grey, cross your eyes, and jitter your hand all over the canvas. It's as simple as that. This one isn't completed but, hey, its close enough for government work. I though about calling it 'Ice Lord' because I am not sure that the guy in the ice is actually dead. I have no idea what story, if any, there is behind this - if anyone can think of something, let me know.

Great picture. As a writer I see:

The traveler is from a young race looking for answers of a bygone time. His jouney has brought him to the land of Ice elementals, thought to be long gone, however as he will soon find out not only do Elemetals still exist but they have been secretly guiding the young race along the various paths. Intrigal now to their plan is our traveller who is about the have the adventure he has alway craved.

Okay, you really shouldn't leave pics open for story grabs like that. I hate it when I find them and I'm not on my comp! Ooh, now this is going to drive me buggers!

This is really beautiful. Although I think he is the one who is going to need the coffee when he defrosts.

Hm. Love the picture. Maybe the story is something like this: He back-stabbed some Dark Sorcerous (sp) and now she has cased him for eternity in the ice. He slowly melts but then just when it's to the point he can move again, he freezes back over. :: Shrugs :: The stories not great, but maybe it can give you a basic line to go on. Great pic though!

Great picture, i say that it is what all merchants and travelers have voyaged to see and marvel at the great ice tomb, many myth's surround it but the truth is hidden in the ice lord. Only the true hero can test his wills, the traveler might be an ambitious hero looking for recognition.

He's amazing.I think your right about him not being dead.He looks like he's just watching.Ya know?Like he nothing catches his eye enough to move and break from the ice.You have to be my favorite artist in all of Elfwood. All of your work is INCREDIBLE.But this is my favorite no question.

It's really good work, oy did really well on the ice, whereas some people kinda mess it up.

As for a story, you could say that he was a sort of wizard and somehting happened in the world so he seal himself in an incasement of ice until the time came when he would be needed. Or something similar to that...

A titan king. Sculptor of the world.
Imprisoned at Gaia's completion.
Bound by prophecy to rise again at world's end.
To unmake what he and the other three had forged.

I think he needs a hug, and some hot-cocoa.
