I, once a roaming spirit

am I now cruelly cast into clay?

with claws and cunning to feed my own vessel

equipped with the tools to prolong my own life sentence?

planted with the dread that I may lose this earthen jailor?

I am a clay vessel

fired and fragile

tip and shatter . . .

and be free and ethereal again.

I am placed on the pivot

and lean this way and that -

a painful shocking fall,

a price to pay for entry,

to the fields of forever.

I love how the poem is trapped in the...claw thingies. (Oh yeah, I sound so intelligent.) It kind of made me think that if you get the poem out of its "cage" you would have to take it's place. Stunning. I loved it. Did you write the poem?

I think the clay thing holding the poem is the trapped sprirt.

The poem'll do, but that pic! It's so dark and evil, somehow it just doesn't fit with the poem.....hmmmmmmmm. It's just a carved out skin of an old bear! (anyway, I can see no other thing)........nicely done!

This isn't funny i seen that thing in my basement, and it was laughing at me. You make it look a lot more fearsome.

Incredible!! Poor Lucifer 2 His story always brings a tear 2
You're gallery is wonderful!!! It's so rare to see someone with such creative spirit also blessed with such technical talent. Your pieces all drag me deeper than the medium, evoking thought and feeling, like every great artist does. Kudos, indeed!

I’m an author and I hope it’s alright if I use your pictures as an insparation for I am creating a series like discworld called Wailing Widow where monsters roam. I use art which people do on these websites as insparations.

One of my favourites in the bunch. The first time I looked at I thought that it would of been on of those pictures that would be out of a video game that was copied and pasted. But when I looked much closer I know that it was something that came right out of the mind. First I said "Oh my Goodness, that’s amazing." Nothing else has to be said.
