Karlsson | Loading...Hello neighbour and fellow Elfwood artist ^^ I've been looking through your gallery (I know, I should have stepped by and leaving a comment earlier, but as usual I seemed to forget it... my memory is poor sometimes) and I like your art. It has your touch, if I say so. Every artist leaves foot prints in their works, and I see those in your work (in some artists works I can't, sadly). I like 'Halfelven' and 'Beren and Luthien' the best. Halfelven because he looks nice, and I like nice people. Because they are nice. ^^; Beren and Luthien are coloured in a great way. You should colour your work more often, I see you're good at it. Most of all I like how you shaded their hair, it looks soft and silky in the same time. ^.~ See you in the future, and hope we will be good neighbours! Miriel 'Galenfea' Davidson (RAE) replies: "Greetings! Thank you very much for visiting and commenting (and for saying such nice things!). I'm glad you got that impression of Alain from his picture, though I think I shall have to do a version of him looking fierce, which is more normal for him, I'm afraid. You think the colouring works? I shall do more, then. Thank you! You noticed the hair! . Yep, see you around the 'wood."

Miriel 'Galenfea' Davidson (RAE) replies: "Yes, that's me! I'm flattered that you recognised me. And yes, I just got an account! *runs off to comment on more of yours*"
| 6 May 2007 | Anonymous | Loading...I donīt know your age, so it is a little difficult to say if you are talented or not. But when I read your comments I guess you have to be at least 13. I donīt like base flattery, because it is no help for a real artist. To be honest your talent is missing - look at pictures by Alfonso Mucha when he was 8 years old - thatīs talent. Donīt worry I donīt want to bully you. Iīm a artist myself - and yes, I had to work hard to become better because my talent was hiding very well. In order to become a good artist you have to be honest to yourself and ask yourself the question: Do I have talent? Miriel 'Galenfea' Davidson (RAE) replies: "Well, I'm over 13, and I know I'm by no means at all the best artist on Elfwood. However, I'm personally measuring myself by the fact that I look at a drawing that I did only a year or so ago, and when I draw the same subject it is miles better. So I think the answer is yes, I think I have some talent. Maybe I'm not Da Vinci, but still." | |
| 7 May 2007 | Anonymous | Loading...Okay, I hope you are no Da Vinci, he used dead bodies for his body studies. You also donīt have to be the best Elfwood artist. If you are satisfied with your pics, itīs fine. To be honest in my drawing classes I never met a artist who was really satisfied with his pictures, and that was the only reason they got better. Of course if you do drawing over years you will become better anyway, but often an artist makes the same mistakes over and over again without knowing why his pics donīt look as great as in his imagination. Many artists I met are restless spirits and dislike status quo. You are different, somehow I like that ... | |
