She looks sad. otherwise she is wonderful. i luv the arch in her shoes. i wish i could draw pointe shoes like that.

:-) Meg Wireman replies: "I didn't really mean to draw her sad, but it fits the picture, I think. And thank you, I've always seemed to have a knack for feet. o_O"

*gapes at AWESOME piccy* Wow, I wish I could draw like that!! She's soooo cool! I LOVE the pointe shoes, they're so beautiful@ (now, if only I could do that and not topple over when I go en pointe... grrrr...) Anyways, you're a great artist! Color it someday, it'd look even MORE awesome (if that's even possible)

13 Meg Wireman replies: "Thanks! Lol, I've never actually done pointe, but my friend does. I just kinda guessed with the shoes. ^^;"

This is really pretty! I like her costume and her hair and wings and all that. Her position however, graceful as it is, isn't quite right. I've been a dancer for fourteen years and on point for six years, so I'll see if I can help you out. For one thing, she's slightly off balance. She should be exactly over her supporting foot, as it is right now she looks like she's going to topple over to her left any minute now. Also, the leg that's in coupe (the one in back) needs to be bent; It's humanly imposible to achieve that position with the leg strait without tilting the hips at an imposible angle. If you meant for her to be in sousou (with both feet on the ground) then that back foot needs to come much farther down in relation to the front one. And since I'm already nit-picking, I might as well say that her ribbons are tied wrong. Although your way is much more aesthetically pleasing than the normal way, it wouldn't hold the shoe on. I can't describe the right way to tie them in words, but I do have a picture of a ballerina in my galary that you could use as a referance if you need it. The scan didn't come out well and she looks pixely and cross-eyed, but she's there if you care to use her. Other than the things I've mentioned, I really love this picture. Sorry if this comment sounds mean or anything, please feel free to deleate it if it offends.
