SciFi and Fantasy Art Tighe by Megon Noel ´Emoni´ Haydes

Tighe is a Scottish male Elf, 15 inches tall. He is made of Polymer clay. He wears a black nylon bandana and two gold colored hoop earrings in each ear. He wears a brown shirt, black pants, black nylon socks and a black nylon turtle neck. Over this he wears a red plaid shirt. He also wears a hand beaded red & black necklace and a hand beaded tortoise shell belt. Tighe is an original creation made without the use of any molds. Tighe is colored with a variety of paints (both oil and water based), inks, and powders. His eyes are hand painted a beautiful shade of forest green. Tighe has large hands over which he wears fingerless gloves (made of clay) to look like worn leather.

Megon Noel 'Emoni' Haydes replies: "Thanks so much! Yeah I was trying something new there with the eyes ... actually everything about this sculpture was new. He was my first big one, my first standing, my first with those eyes, and my first with that particular nose. I was telling someone earlier that I'm a subconscious artist. My inspiration is usually in my own dreams or visions but on some occasions, like with Tighe, I was just holding the clay, softening it while I was talking to my Mom and Tighe just kind of appeared ... it was very cool and because of it, he is among the few pieces that I'm not selling. Thanks so much for your comment. And just to let you know, I do have a picture of Tighe that shows his whole body but it didn't turn out as clear as I'd liked so perhaps the next time I update I should first take a new full body picture of him.
