Man! Again inspiring! Your dress designs are amazing! What do you use for your inspirations? How do you come up with a composition?

:-) Melissa Dawn replies: "Ooh that’s a hard one! Really, it’s a lot of trial and error. I tend to start with an idea, do a very loose sketch, and begin painting. I usually end up changing the background and the position of the character many times before it’s done-- one reason why I kinda prefer doing digital art! Ideas for the paintings themselves usually just pop into my head when I’m trying to sleep..."

I love your idea of the butterfly as the light source and all the floating bits in the air really gives th epainting an atmosphere. Th efolds on the dress are exquisite!
