Mermaids ...always reaching..and reached for. This piece was also based on feelings inside.. as all my work is. Also the one color painting attracts me..to see how much depth is possible.

Finally I got some costructive criticism for you. You started to upset me, all was too perfect ;-) This picture is beautiful but catch the arm, it's too large (at least I'd suggest to thin it) Also, I see a bit too much distortion in the figure. Anyway, I hope I could be useful. before I forgot, the final part of the "tail" is wonderful.

Max- Will you stop asking her to thin the anatomy? just because you're a guy and think that female anatomy should be skinny (except for the chest) doesn't mean that such anatomy exists in reality! I, for one, adore your pics, Melissa, and you should keep up the good work! 2

Missy you've always been my favorite artist, and big sister. I really like this piece, because you know cobalt is my favorite color, and you know I'm such a mermaid freak. See you when I get home I love you Sara.

Max, you need glasses. The arm is in perfect proportion to her hip and the line of her tail. Get a life--this girl IS perfect. Why the need for critique? Just enjoy. This one get a great big cigar and two thumbs up for style, use of color, and ten other things I could think of. But I'd rather just look at it.

It inspires me to write of the birth of mermaids straight from the waters of the sea. She looks as if she is a part of the water or is the water a part of her. Gorgeous!

You are the first artist ever to make me slow down and look at every piece. It must be wonderful to be able to record your imagination.
