Life reared its ugly head and lingered too long, but many large wooden (and now broken) sticks later I’ve beaten it back and here I am. However, I find it most depressing to discover how little progress I made reading through your shelf before I fled the Wood. Therefore, I have sworn to read nothing else for pleasure until I have at the very least finished an entire arc of your work. I just thought you should know. Feel free to harass me on the subject. Or don’t. I can be such a nuisance, after all. Melissa ´TigerCat´ Jones replies: "Wow, I’m always surprised that somehow I manage to garner such attention. I’m glad you aren’t too badly beaten by life and decided to wander back to my section of the Woods. I’m very glad to see you and, after glancing at your profile, do remember you.
As a matter of fact, I’m surprised that I haven’t disappeared from Elfwood yet. I don’t expect to leave until Twisted Path is finished, at least.
See you around, I hope."
| 30 Jan 2009 | John The Wolfguard sharp | Loading...Hi there. I have just read the prologue for Outcast on your other site, and found it to be a very strong and enjoyable first person narrative. I am already starting to feel attachment to your protagonist, and I will read more this evening when I have returned from work. I also really like the idea of a second"mystery" narrator. I have an idea about that, however at this early stage I think I had best keep such thoughts to myself, or else prove myself foolish. Just one comment "I have been told my eyes can sear to the bone on occasion, and that has become a tacit I have readily employed." By "Tacit" did you mean "Tactic"? Melissa ´TigerCat´ Jones replies: "Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it. And yes, I did mean tactic instead of tacit. You’re not the only one to point that out, so I guess I should get on the ball and fix it already. " | |

Also, At the Mountains of Madness, Dagon, and The Dunwich Horror among others. Melissa ´TigerCat´ Jones replies: "I haven’t read Re-Animator or Dagon, but they’re added to the list now. I started reading Lovecraft because I’ve heard a ton about The Call of Cthulhu and then found the Dreamlands book at an old book store recently. Recommendations are always welcome. "
