Once I flew so freely through,
The yonder skies so deeply blue.
On pearly wings of merry feather,
Soaring through all types of weather.
Viewed the world from up above,
Sent it down my purest love.
Saw the hills from miles high,
Me, the angel of the sky.
The world, it glitters like a jewel,
They say the earth can speak to you.
One night in a horrid dream,
A demon came and spoke to me.
He said that he was not my foe,
He came to bring me naught of woe.
This demon told me glorious things,
Of shining gems and golden rings.
Of riches lost from days of yore,
Hiding beyond a silver door.
And I believed him, like a fool,
I became the demon’s tool.
I grew to be consumed by greed,
Never once did I take heed,
Of the changes that began to fall,
Lost inside my hungry lull.
A monster was what I become,
The thought today still makes me numb.
Full of evil, lust, and hate,
Causing sorrow did elate.
My wings are torn from my blades,
Eyes of black; no longer jades.
From my black heart, I do cry,
A fallen angel am I.
