| Just a light little poem I started a LOOONG time ago and finally finished...behold! The making of the first griffon! :3 |
|
It happened quite by mistake one summer’s day,
When an eagle and a lion came out to play.
One was large; the other was small,
Up in the air the one would fall.
The eagle flew ‘round without a worry or care,
While the lion took down a giraffe on a dare.
When quite by mistake (again, I might add),
The lion belched loudly (the giraffe had gone bad).
Miss eagle did shriek at this rude earthly sound,
And swiftly she plummeted toward the cool ground.
She slammed him with words (“You insane?!”)
And found herself wrapped up tight in his mane.
Struggle she did and struggle she might,
But she was stuck in that thing all the night.
Over the hours they had time to converse,
And their hearts were lightened; things could be worse.
A connection developed that could not be torn,
And they made sweet love till they were both worn.
A child developed in the form of an egg,
After laying the thing, Miss bird felt like a rag.
For can you guess how large the kid really was?
Let’s say he made the Sphinx look like a small yutz.
The shape of the lion and the face of the bird,
A name must be chosen of only one word.
A name for a creature of fierceness and fun,
Thus was born a baby Griffon.
