I  never really thought I cared,

While the magic was alive.

 

I hardly knew that it was there,

While the magic was alive.

 

I never paid attention,

While the magic was alive.

 

I never used discretion,

While the magic was alive.

 

I had no faith in the unreal,

While the magic was alive.

 

Felt no love for the surreal,

While the magic was alive.

 

Nothing ever went wrong,

While the magic was alive.

 

Now I notice that it’s gone,

Because the magic has died.
