This one started out as a simple landscape of a mountainous region with a very bright (okay, too bright) moon shining over, yet there was so much space between the shadows of the forest and the bottom of the page that I wanted to add something there besides grass; plus, I wanted the image to be more 'fantasy'. So I added a crooked grave in the middle, hoping it would be give the image a more haunting feel to it. Maybe it did. But I also found the grave (which is dark and symbolizes death) created a contrast with the beautiful, bright landscape. It also didn't feel quite 'fantasy' enough. So then I tried adding the ghost which I looked upon as a great challenge considering how, to me, drawing a regular figure is difficult enough without making it see-through. But I did it! And while I know it's not the best ghost image, I hope you'll like it all the same :) Oh also, I signed this one with my father's last name, "Rollins" instead of my mother's last name, "Goodrich"
